Bedruthan Steps are a number of large rocks, than span across the bay. Legend says that the steps were used by the Bedruthan Giant to step across the bay. One of the rocks is actually named as Samaritan Island, after the ship Samaritan was wrecked upon the island in 1846. Swimmers are warned of treacherous tides that are dangerous. The National Trust has built steps down to the beach below, which are closed during the winter. Access to the good sized car park is from the A392, where you will find a cafe, gift shop and toilets.
